Counselling and Therapy for Bullying
Being bullied is an emotionally distressing experience whether it be as a child or an adult. It can impact on all aspects of our lives and leave long lasting scars. It may be difficult to speak out if you have experienced bullying for many reasons including shame and fear of retribution. It is important to know that no one has the right to bully anyone else.
Bullying can damage how we feel about ourselves, our self esteem and self confidence, our social lives, work and academic performance and our relationships.
Bullying can happen in many ways including face to face and via digital media ie; mobile phones and the internet known as cyber bulling.
How therapy can help
Being bullied can be a devastating experience with both short and long term consequences. Speaking to a trained professional in a safe and confidential environment can provide the opportunity to discuss the bullying, explore the impact this is having/has had and look at ways to manage these, address the bullying if it is still continuing and identify ways to look after ourselves and move on with our lives.

Testimonials
"I had been bullied for years and felt ashamed that I couldn't stop it. Talking about it was difficult at first but Wendy was patient and understanding and helped me realise that it wasn't my fault. Over time I found the courage to leave the situation and now feel so much better and happier. Would recommend Wendy "

"I thought the bullying that had happened when I was young hadn't affected me, but I was kidding myself. Admitting it was hard but through counselling I was able to understand how to behave in new ways and trust people again. I feel so much more confident in myself and how to relate to others now "
